This method of kratom consumption involves the user taking a spoonful of the powder and putting it in their mouth. They follow it by drinking some juice or water. Kratom can also be taken orally or as a pill. A person would often take numerous kratom capsules to equal what they would consume if they were to drink, discard, and wash the kratom powder. Kratom capsules are the powdered version of the leaf.

The user can feel drowsy, slow to react, and painless if the kratom has sedative effects.
