Needless to say, it’s a game changer. The new updates will change the way we chat and make conversations more interesting on WhatsApp.
Some of the most important changes that we will witness in the next version of WhatsApp.
New features of WhatsApp
WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that will allow users to delete messages up to six minutes after they’re sent.
1) Add Multiple Captions To Photos
2) Time-Limit For Deleting Messages
3) Playback Controls For Audio Messages
4) Photo Editor
5) Forwarding Stickers without downloading them
- Multiple Captions for Photos
Ever wanted to send a picture of yourself at the beach with the waves crashing behind you? Well, now you can! Add multiple captions to your photo and customize the text to match the moment.
To add extra captions to your photo, simply tap “add caption” after taking a picture or editing one. From there, you can type up several short descriptions using emoji or other typing tools such as bolding and italicizing text. You can also rotate and crop your caption before sending it off.
- Time-Limit for Deleting Messages
The time-limit for deleting messages is one of the most notable changes.
One of the newest updates to WhatsApp will be the new time limit for deleting messages- it will be up to 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds old. This new time limit is expected to take place very soon, according to a recent report by Reuters.
This makes it possible for users to share something with their contacts on WhatsApp and quickly delete it before they receive a response.
- Playback Controls for Audio Messages
WhatsApp will also soon allow users to adjust the playback speed of audio messages or voice notes.
This is a great way for users to quickly go through their messages to find the one they want. The playback controls will allow the user to adjust the playback speed in increments of 5 percent.
The playback control will be available by tapping on the message and changing it in the “adjustments” section.
- Photo Editor
WhatsApp is also bringing an in-app photo editor to its app, starting with WhatsApp Web.
The Photo Editor feature will allow users to adjust brightness and contrast, crop photos, adjust filters (such as brightness, contrast, coolness), and more. With this new feature, you can create your picture-perfect moments with just one tap!
The new photo editor is currently being tested on WhatsApp web, but there are no reports of when it will be available for WhatsApp’s mobile app.
If you’re a brand that relies heavily on social media marketing, then you might want to get in on the latest changes coming to WhatsApp. You can edit your photos before sending them to make sure they look their best, or add text captions to your photos to share details with friends.
- Forwarding stickers without downloading them
The recent being forwarding of the stickers without actually downloading or viewing it within the chat box of WhatsApp. The Meta-owned company is adding a shortcut to forward these stickers directly from the chat.
