Exfoliation is an essential skin in skin and body care regimen. The primary purpose of exfoliation is to remove the dead skin cells present in the skin and give a shiny, dull-free look. Sometimes, we dont see the dead skin cells available through our naked eye, and in that case, it does not mean there are no dead skin cells. Skin exfoliation should be a part of your routine at least once or twice a week to have a healthy glowing look. It is true that exfoliation helps skin to feel and look better, but that does not mean that you have to exfoliate daily. Too much exfoliation also leads to many skincare issues like skin crack, dryness, etc. There are different ways to exfoliate your skin; When speaking about face exfoliation, we should be very gentle and careful so that they dont hurt our skin. Many other home remedies work, but make sure to do a patch test to see if the home or kitchen ingredients suit your skin. Scrubbing your face helps in naturally enhancing the glow, because the dead skin cells are removed using the ingredients used.

DIY Face Exfoliation:

Here are some of the simple DIY tips that help to exfoliate your skin:

  1. Oats – Grind the oats in a mixer jar, and stop when they are slightly coarse. Add milk, curd, or gel according to your skin type. Now cleanse your face and then use this scrub in a circular motion to shed away the dead skin present on the face.
  2. Coffee – Big chunks of coffee are very bad and do not suit any skin type. So, dont use them and hurt your skin. Instead, use instant coffee powder since they are mild and minimal to your skin. Take a spoon full of instant coffee powder, add rose water or curs according to your preference, and gently scrub them to see instant glowing results. This can also be used on your whole body since it helps in tan removal.
  3. Milk – Milk has lactic acid content present them. If you have a sensitive skin type, this will be the right choice instead of a physical scrub. Also, if you want to exfoliate daily, you can take a spoon of milk, dip the cotton pads in them and gently wipe them around your face and neck. Milk can also be used for dark circles to see visible results on continuous usage.
  4. Sugar – Sugar is also considered one of the best ingredients in terms of scrub or exfoliation. When you take white sugar, make sure it is in small chunks; otherwise, grind it into a slightly coarse powder. Brown sugar can also be used for exfoliation. Add a few drops of lemon juice ( do a patch test to avoid skin irritation) or any infused waters. This scrub also helps in instantly refresh your skin by giving a shiny glow.
  5. Rice Flour – If you are someone with acne-prone or combinational skin, other than milk, none of the scrubs will help. In that case, rice flour is very mild and can be used as a scrub to help in gentle exfoliation. If you have active pimples, avoid the areas or wait until they get subsided so that they are not spread.

Face Scrub Products Online:

If you feel they dont work or have tried and feel that none of them worked, you can switch to the products available online. It is okay to choose products online but make sure to check the ingredients list so that they help your skin instead of damaging it. Get your hands on the best coffee face scrub that helps naturally remove the dead skin cells without hurting the skin. Here are a few steps to be followed before and after exfoliating your face:

  1. Always wash your face before exfoliation. This helps remove the dust present on the skin, which allows the exfoliation process to be relatively more effortless.
  2. While exfoliating your face, make sure you scrub them gently to dont hurt your skin. Choose products that match your skin type to avoid rashes or pimples once after scrubbing your face. If physical scrubs do not suit, try chemical exfoliation; Start from a mild version and then gradually increase them.
  3. After exfoliation, if you feel your skin is quite hard or hurting, take an ice roller or icecube and gently massage them into your skin.
  4. Once after doing this, take a gentle amount of moisturiser and apply them to your face.

Tip – Applying moisturiser to a slightly wet or damp skin could help your moisturizer to go deep into the layers of the skin.

  1. Also, use face oil if you are someone with extremely dry skin. Almond oil or rosehip oil helps in moisurizing your skin in a better way.
