Choose a speaker mounting location that is difficult to access or manipulate. Mount the speaker in the chosen location using a Phillips screwdriver and the included screws.
Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the ends of a two-conductor cable. Slide the stripped ends of the wire under the screw terminals on the horn. Tighten the terminal screws with a Phillips screwdriver until snug.
Run the two conductor cable from the horn location to the alarm panel. Choose a route for the cable that is difficult to access or that runs inside the house. Fasten the cable to the walls or joists using wire staples.
Route the two-conductor cable into the alarm panel box through one of the holes in the top or side of the box.
Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the ends of the two-conductor cable. Slide the end of the wire that is connected to the positive terminal of the speaker under Terminal 3 on the Monitronics alarm panel. Slide the end of the wire that is connected to the speaker’s negative terminal under terminal 4 on the Monitronics alarm panel. Tighten the terminal screws with a Phillips screwdriver until snug.
