Discover The Best Alternatives to Coffee

Does this sound familiar to you? You wake up. It’s a cool 7:45 am and you’re excited because, for the first time in three weeks, you’ve managed to get out of bed before your alarm. You see, you get a little grumpy in the morning. It’s not too bad, though it has become a little less charming now that you’re out of your twenties. You have a lot of pet peeves, though you would never outright admit to most of them. One of them, however, that is a constant pain in your side, is waking up to the stinging ear-piercing tones of “Stargaze”, or “Aurora” admitted by a phone which you can never seem to fully control the volume of. And now that you’ve won your first little battle of the day, it’s time for your reward. That black elixir that keeps your whole situation, moving and grooving. That fine oil that lights a fire in your belly and clears the cobwebs in the control room. I’m of course talking about a finely brewed cup of coffee. Now you’re a coffee connoisseur you’ve been drinking since you were 14 and have stuck to the stuff every day since. So when you open up that pantry cupboard and you have an empty space staring back at you. It doesn’t matter how great your morning was going before, you’re in a bad mood. You race over to your nearest cafe. You’re 15th in line. The day keeps piling on. You’re 45 minutes late for work, and your boss has noticed. Your anxiety is through the roof. You look for any sense of salvation in the watered-down you’re nervously sipping. There isn’t any. Your headache is getting worse. This isn’t enough caffeine to get you through the day. It is already wearing off and the day isn’t half over.

If it sounds like I’m reading straight from your autobiography. Don’t worry, it only seems that way because so many other people suffer from the same affliction as you. It’s caffeine dependency, and it can tank your day faster than a brick falling from the sky. Now, this may seem scary, but it’s okay this is completely normal and is a common concern for many adults. Don’t worry, there’s no need for concern. There is a solution. You just need to find an alternative to coffee that works best for you, and if you’re in need of some guidance you’re in luck! Because I’ve compiled this excellent list of caffeinated alternatives that are sure to give your mornings a jolt of energy!

Going Muddin’

Mud/wtr is a caffeinated blend of chai tea that features a cool relaxing wave of caffeine. It makes use of aromatic spices and delicious sumptuous scents that create a drink that is delicious and delightful. This is perfect for those who are looking to ramp down their caffeine intake, without necessarily stopping cold turkey. If you want to hear further praise just check out this mud wtr review to see why others think of it so fondly! With an earthy texture and a bouquet of flavor that blossoms with every sip. This is an excellent option for someone who is trying to create a smoother, more focused atmosphere with their caffeinated beverage of choice.

Yes to Yerba Mate

Our next entry is for those who are less concerned about caffeine intake, and more specifically concerned about coffee’s acidic qualities. Well, let us save our stomach linings, while I tell you about a little-known type of tea called yerba mate. Yerba Mate is a special type of tea that is extremely caffeinated. One serving of some brands of the beverage equals about two cups of coffee. That’s pretty nuts for those who are having trouble sleeping, but if you’re looking for something that’ll get you going without upsetting your stomach; yerba mate makes an excellent choice!

Elevating Your Energy

Now, I’m gonna be honest with you. This entry is not a healthy option. It is that quick and cheap, I need a boost to get loose kind of option. The kind of option that has a panel over it that says “In Case of Emergency Break Glass.” But let me tell you something my friend when the time is right. And you need to get moving in a hurry. A kickstart from an energy drink is pretty unmatched. This is for those who are not big caffeine drinkers in general, and only occasionally partake. As a permanent alternative to coffee, I don’t necessarily recommend this, but as a one-time solution. That quick blast from an energy drink can alter your entire reality!

Coffee is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it is a great source of caffeine, while remaining calorically neutral. On the other hand, it can cause a lot of problems for the modern adult. For instance, caffeine consumption is known to affect your rem sleep cycles. Meaning you aren’t getting any actual rest as you sleep. Not only that but coffee is so acidic that it can start to deteriorate your stomach lining as well. This is not a recipe for a beverage you want to be drinking long-term. It’s my recommendation that you try to supplement your coffee intake with a natural tea such as yerba mate, or a mixed tea beverage like mud/wtr. Either of these serves as perfect solutions for the long-term problems associated with coffee drinking. As a natural tea is not nearly as acidic as coffee and features a gentler peak from the caffeine.

As an adult, it’s time to start considering what the future holds. Whether that be five, or fifty years from now. Having a general idea of what you’d like your future to look like is important. Do you want to be able to live your golden years to the fullest? If so that means making the right choices now, and believe it or not, that also includes what you drink!
